San
Telmo...
South
west, approx. 35 minutes west from Palma.
San Telmo is a small picturesque fisherman?s
village on the southwest corner of Majorca,
opposite the island Dragonera. Here starts
the mountain range of Tramuntana that follows
the west coast of Majorca, approx 100 km
all the way up to Pollensa. During the last
years San Telmo became a popular village
among the people who look for ?old? Majorca.
It is a very calm and in the centre car-free
zone below the mountain Bachas with the
ruins from the monastery La Trapa. Very
popular hiking-path up to the monastery.
Along the beautiful promenade, above the
small harbour, you find both, traditional-
and fish restaurants that have fresh seafood.
Bars and cafés you find along the promenade
above the sandy beach. This picturesque
village is a paradise for all kind of water
sport. Distance to the closest golf course
(Camp de Mar) is approx. 15 min. Every Wednesday
is the popular market in Andratx. One of
Majorca?s biggest wine producers is within
this area.
