20 min from Palma is Paguera, a former fisherman's
village, today one of the most active spots
on the island. Her you find everything which
makes your stay pleasant and eventful. The
main road through the village, today a car
free-zone, has many boutiques, shops, bars,
cafés and restaurants. Here you can stroll
along or spend some time, sitting on one
of the benches under the pine trees. Along
the beautiful beaches is a seaside promenade
with cafeterias and restaurants. Big variety
of sport, like tennis, mini-golf, horseback
riding, organized hikes, sailing, pedal
boats, water-ski, windsurfing, scuba diving,
parachute-gliding and golfing nearby. Numerous
discotheques entertain you in the night
or you enjoy a stay in the open air dancing
places. Cala Fornells is a quiet urbanization
built on the rocks next to Paguera with
its own little beach, bar and restaurant.
5 minutes west of Paguera the picturesque
bay of Camp de Mar offering swimming in
the sea or walking along the promenade and
in the green hills. There are bars, shops
and a restaurants, even one situated at
the end of a bridge out in the sea. The
golf course of Camp de Mar is outside the
village.
