Andratx / Puerto de Andratx... South west about 30 min. west of Palma is Puerto de Andratx, a small, romantic fisherman?s harbour situated in a beautiful wide bay. The mountain range of the Tramuntana starts here and ends in Pollensa, after stretching 100 km along the west coast of Majorca. In the last years Puerto de Andratx has developed into a popular spot on the island. Attractive boutiques and decoration shops offer you the latest fashion. Strolling along the charming promenade, the fisherman?s harbour and around the church square you find restaurants with local food and gourmet-restaurants with fresh fish and sea food. Cafés and bars invite you to pop in for a nice meal or drink. Opposite the fisherman?s harbour is the well known marina where the yachts of locals and visitors are moored. This picturesque village is a paradise for all kind of water sports. To the nearest beach and golf course (Camp de Mar) it?s about 5 minutes drive. Every Wednesday morning you can visit the local market in Andratx. There is a big wine producer in the area.
